| | As I go through the ten weeks, I'm always asking, "what will change in me?" It's a cool sense of anticipation. This year will be even more interesting because we started with a Dexa Scan. I know a lot about my body now. For instance, I am 28% fat, and I have good bone density. Will I be less heavy but more muscular when this is over? Does this scan make my butt look big? |

Here's a question for you. Feel free to ignore it but why not give it a shot? What is something that would be good for you, but which intimidates you? If there was someone who could help you with it, would you accept the help? What's stopping you? I am convinced we can all do better together than we can alone on things like this. |
| I hope that message reaches you where you need it. It may be that it doesn't hit you in the zone of real estate. That's perfectly fine! But on the other hand, your current house might be the big thing in your life--you or someone you know. From 15 years of experience, I know for certain that many people would NOT be in their current home if I had not helped them. The process of moving was just too overwhelming for them. But, together, we did it! I am for the flourishing of my community, especially the people I am connected to as clients. |

That's what I told this lovely family. On the one hand, that meant less competition. On the other hand, it meant less inventory. I didn't want to spoil their hopes. I really liked them. They were smart, erudite, and they share my love for British stuff. In fact, they had been living in England for the last three years. |
| But now they were facing the "trifecta" of tough house hunting: first, they needed it fast, before their rental lease ran out. Second, they needed a specific location, in the Lincoln High School catchment, and close to Lake Union so A could row in the mornings. And third, they wanted an old home with lots of character. |

Now, I had hoped we could avoid a competitive offer in December, but alas, this is Seattle! Nice homes get noticed. I had worked with the listing agent before, which helped, and we followed my rubric subtly known as: "Smash the competition on every term." We had to vanquish one competitor and that's just what we did. DONE! |
