When the Pool Steals the Show: Marketing the Unexpected in Magnolia

You don’t expect to see a swimming pool in Magnolia.

Seattle? Sure. We’ll invest in radiant heating, cozy fireplaces, even covered decks with heaters. But a full-sized, cannonball-ready pool? That’s unicorn territory.

So when I walked into this classic Magnolia home and found that in the backyard, I had two reactions. First: Whoa. Second: This is the story.

Because good marketing isn’t just about listing features. It’s about understanding how those features make people feel—and what they represent. In this case, the pool wasn’t just a novelty. It was a statement: summer BBQs, neighborhood kids doing cannonballs, morning laps before work. It was a lifestyle, hiding behind a fence on a quiet Magnolia street.

That’s what we leaned into. The story wasn’t just “This house has a pool.” The story was what the pool meant.

You Don’t Need a Pool to Stand Out

Truth is, every house has something. And when that something is special—even if it’s not a pool— I know how to make it shine. Maybe it’s the light. The layout. The hidden nook that becomes someone’s favorite reading spot. When I market a home, my job is to find that and build a story that connects with buyers on a gut level.

Magnolia Market Snapshot – Spring 2025

The point is:

Whether you’re selling a classic with a surprise, or buying your first Seattle home, I’m here to help you craft or uncover the story that makes the whole thing click.

Let’s talk.
